Description
For you and your baby:
Our dense Merino wool hot water bottle cover isn’t just a pretty accessory — it makes your hot water bottle softer, safer, and simply a whole lot better than usual.
Merino releases heat more gently, protects skin from getting too hot, and keeps the warmth around for extra long. Perfect for getting cozy without worrying — whether your baby has tummy troubles, you’re battling period cramps, or your husband’s convinced he’s got the world’s worst man flu. 😉
The cover fits all standard 2-liter hot water bottles and is super easy to remove and wash thanks to the handy zipper. And of course, it’s made to Wakapapa standards — natural materials, sustainably crafted, skin-friendly, and seriously comfy.
In short:
For tiny and not-so-tiny aches, for cold feet, and for that warm, everything’s-okay feeling.

Care Instruction
Wool fibers are naturally dirt-repellent and odor-resistant. Therefore, virgin wool products generally do not need to be washed. You can care for them as follows:
shake out
brush off
air out (preferably in high humidity)
If you still need to wash the products, keep the following in mind:
Hand wash (always preferred)
water temperature max. 30°C warm - we recommend to wash cold. Every temperature over 30 °C will cause felting or deformation!
use wool detergent (do not use fabric softener, as it affects wool’s natural properties)
do not soak for too long
do not rub or wring too much (this can cause felting or deformation)
Machine wash
water temperature max. 30°C warm - we recommend to wash cold. Every temperature over 30 °C will cause felting or deformation!
use the delicate cycle or a special wool wash program
low spin cycle, max. 400 RPM
use wool detergent (do not use fabric softener, as it affects wool’s natural properties)
ideally, wash the product in a laundry bag or pillowcase
Drying
do not tumble dry!
gently press out excess moisture using a towel
reshape the product and lay it flat to dry, do not hang
Storage if you do not use the product for a longer period
store in a dry and dark place
air out regularly
optionally use natural moth protection

Safety Notice
Even though our merino cover releases heat more gently, extra care is needed, especially for babies:
-
After filling the hot water bottle, let it sit for a moment so it can evenly distribute its warmth through the cover.
-
Only then carefully check if the temperature is comfortable for your baby.
-
Always make sure the cap is securely closed and that no hot water can leak out — including any leftover water around the opening!
-
Never use unattended.
-
Also follow the specific safety instructions provided with your hot water bottle.
