When can I start using the footmuff?

In theory, from birth — as it even fits lying down in some stroller bassinets.
Otherwise, at the latest once your baby starts sitting in the stroller or buggy.

Why not a sheepskin footmuff?

Sheepskin footmuffs include the animal’s hide.
Our merino wool, on the other hand, is sourced from live sheep — allowing them to continue living.

Is a merino footmuff suitable for all strollers?

Since we offer two versions with different harness openings, one of them will definitely fit your stroller; no matter the brand.

How often do I need to wash a merino footmuff?

In most cases, not at all — merino wool is naturally self-cleaning and antibacterial.
Everyday dirt can usually be brushed off easily.
And the best part: you’ll get the brush included with your footmuff for free!

Can I machine wash a merino wool footmuff?

Short answer: yes. At 30°C (86°F) and a maximum of 400 rpm.

We generally recommend hand washing, as it’s the gentlest option for wool. But we also know that’s not always practical. That’s why our material is designed to be safely machine washable as well.

Does the Wakapapa footmuff fit in a bassinet?

Thanks to its flexible design, it can actually fit in some stroller bassinets.
As a guideline, the bassinet should be around 70 × 35 cm (27.5 × 13.8 in).
And with free shipping and returns, you can simply try it out risk-free.

Does the Wakapapa footmuff fit in a car seat or infant carrier?

It’s not designed for that purpose. But we’ve got something exciting coming: later this year, we’re launching a cozy wrap blanket made from merino wool.
